In the beginning of this year I got to spent a long weekend in Madrid visiting a friend. With only paying €50,- for a plane ticket I was so excited. We had such a lovely couple of days and with his appartment laying right in the city centre I got to see and explore so much!
I arrived late Thursday evening and so we took a metro back to the appartment where I dropped my bags quickly to go out and have some food. Even though it is very hard to eat vegetarian in the Spanish capital I managed to have an amazing dinner that night. After strolling around it was time for bed as I had a busy day of travelling.
From having amazing breakfasts, strolling down the major shopping streets, eating tapas, drinking Sangria, Museo del Prado, walking around Retiro park, looking around Plaza Mayor, seeing the temples of Debod, taking photos of Plaza de Cibeles, vegan croissants and cappuccinos, going inside Palacio de Crystal, listening to street artists, going out in the biggest club of Spain and most of all.. having lots of fun with friends.
The green juice wasn’t mine… the toastie and cappuccino were though.
Vegan croissants, coffee, juices and the best breakfasts at La Rollerie.
All in all I had such an amazing weekend. Good times and great friends made this trip one to remember. I have been to Spain a number of times but Madrid is something else. Such a big city with so many people, bars, shops and restaurants. If you are able to find some cheap plane tickets definitely recommened you to pay a visit in the near future!
